Tools

These are the currently known tools out there for Trickster and can be utilized in your workflow. While information was meant to be free, these tools may not be, as the pursuit of perfection is hardly a penny-pinching venture.

Additional notes have been provided regarding the usage or description of the tools. Some are also not able to export into formats Trickster can use, but you can still utilize them in some way.

Pixel Composer	Bulk create and process images and animations	Buy off Steam or Download off Ttanasart-pt's Github Repo	Paid or Free	Powerful, powerful tool for sprite modification and animation. Honestly? Underpriced. Harder to run without paying for it--strongly recommend paying for it anyway.
Material Maker	Create 2D and 3D Animations + Effects	Download off itch.io	Pay-what-you-want	This is a lot like Pixel Composer, but it's not directly made for sprite editing. You can use this to make 2D effects for your cream files or the like. Plus, can't argue with "Free if I want it to be" right?
Aseprite	Simple but powerful Sprite animation tool	Buy off Steam	Paid	Simple but well-known pixel art animator.
Palette Wizard	Edit and generate unique palettes	Buy off Steam	Paid	This makes really cool color palettes for things such as fuse creation and fashion. It does not export in our formats and would require Cyotek.
SpriteMancer	Edit animations and images in a work-flow environment	Buy off Steam	Paid	This, I plan on making cream effects with the most--it seems the most powerful for this. I am waiting on more research regarding the effects before going forward with this, but like PixelComposer, it's super powerful, and I anticipate good results.
Image2pixel	Converts images into pixel-based formats	Buy off Steam	Paid	It's simple but effective. I do not know if this exports in a format that CalatZ's fuse tool accepts yet, but I will be testing.
Swatcher	Lightweight and simple palette creation and automator	Buy off Steam	Paid	Very simple, very lightweight, but great color picker. Requires Cyotek to export to our appropriate .pal file
Photoshop	Edit and create pixel art	Buy Adobe Subscription	Paid	One of the OG tools.
ViX Image Viewer	View NRI tools and export to BMP	Archive.org Mirror and NRI plugin	Free	I have not tested this yet but I prefer to use TNT to export the sprites and then edit them from there, to be quite honest. This is one of the OG tools so I kept it on here.
Smack Studio	Edit and battle your own pixelart	Buy off Steam	Paid	Super cool for monster and NPC pixel art. You can also view your stuff in a 2.5D way using a 2D partsheet and rigging it. Very nifty.
Tilesetter	Edit spritesheets and export entire tilesheets quickly	Buy off Steam	Paid	Honestly would go sick with a custom map maker

G-OP	Allows you to summon monsters and teleport to different maps	Download Ragezone Mirror	Free	One of the OG Tools. Semi-broken, does not like to spawn in monsters past version 0.50.
HxD	Hex Edit files.	Download from HxD's website	Free	One of the OG Tools. Necessary for your toolbox.

Unlikely to ever see the light of public eye.
